Select the Report Volume you want. For purposes of this demo, click on Fall 2009 Product.

A new menu will appear on the left: Choose a Report. For purposes of this demo, well choose Beverages. You could do a Search by Keyword, but the results might not be what youre looking for. You could do a Search by Keyword, but the results might not be what youre looking for.

A series of new menus will appear. For purposes of this demo, and because the print is so small, these will be examined in several different slides.

The first menu, Category, allows you to choose from a range of beverage products. The second, Base, gives you the option of choosing all adults in the sample surveyed, only men, or only women. The third menu, Target, lets you choose between types of beverage products.

Lets say were interested in the number of young women who are heavy diet cola drinkers. Choose Diet Cola Drinks from the Category menu, Women from the Base menu, and Drinks or Glasses/Last 7 Days Heavy (6+) from the Target menu.

Notice that the chart on the right adjusts according to your Category, Base, & Target choices.

Now look for the demographic that interests you. Lets say were interested in the number of women ages who are heavy drinkers of diet cola drinks.

Total `000: In the Fall 2009 study, there were 34,196,000 women ages in the 48 contiguous United States.

Proj `000: Projected to the full population of women ages in the contiguous 48 states, 3,973,000 women age have consumed 6+ diet cola drinks in the last 7 days.

Percent Across: 11.6% of the population of women ages consumed 6+ diet cola drinks in the last 7 days. 3,973 / 34,196 =.116.

Percent Down: Out of all the people who were projected to consume 6+ diet cola drinks in the past 7 days (116,722,000), 21.3% are women ages ,973 / 18,654 =.213

Index: Compared to the total population, women ages are 27% less likely to consume 6+ diet cola drinks in the past 7 days (100 – 73 = 27). In contrast, adults ages are 1.09 times more likely to be heavy consumers of diet cola.

The * : An asterisk indicates that the sample size was less than 50 respondents, so the numbers are unstable and should not be used.

Once youve assembled the information you need, you can transfer it to a spreadsheet and save it to your profile, or send the table to a local printer.
