DBQ Issues Thesis arguments in complete sentences. Do not simply list. No documents in the introductory paragraph. Start each paragraph 2-4 with an argument from your thesis. Summarize each document as evidence. Do not quote. Do not start a sentence with “In document 6, . . .” Cite each document after you summarize (Doc. 5) Do not lump documents together. Contextualization requires the extra tie in. Historical context is a great way to analyze.
