Translational Research “Facilitating Research today for Better Patient Outcomes Tomorrow” Richard Adams

Translational research An interdisciplinary branch of the biomedical arena supported by three main pillars: benchside bedside Community A highly interdisciplinary field The goal of translational medicine is to combine disciplines, resources, expertise, and techniques within these pillars to promote enhancements in prevention, diagnosis, and therapies.

Translational research model/steps Step 1 involves basic research, Step 2 involves pre-clinical research, Step 3 involves clinical research, Step 4 involves clinical implementation Step 5 involves implementation in the public health sphere
