SAT Subject Tests Subject Tests are hour-long, content-based tests that allow you to showcase achievement in specific subject areas where you excel. Some colleges require or recommend that you take SAT Subject Tests. In addition, you can enhance your application, demonstrate knowledge you’ve gained outside the classroom, and potentially place out of introductory courses.

SAT Subject Tests You cannot take the SAT Subject Tests and the SAT on the same test date. Not all Subject Tests are available each testing date. You can take up to 3 Subject Tests on one testing day. 20 tests to choose from in the following categories: Mathematics, Science, Languages, History, and English.

SAT Test Prep Khan Academy SAT Question of the Day They use your PSAT scores to build you an individualized study plan. SAT Question of the Day Check my website for other test prep websites

ACT Cost - $58.50 Take the ACT Plus Writing! Register at www.actstudent.org We do not administer the exam at NYOS. Student needs to choose a location to take the test. Links to test prep materials are available on my website. Scores take about 14 days to be posted.

ACT

SAT & ACT Late Registration Late registration is available Additional $28 for SAT is required Additional $25 for ACT is required

SAT and ACT Scores Scores are available online through your College Board or ACT account. Scores are usually available 14 (ACT) or 20 (SAT) days after the exam. Students can have score reports sent to 4 colleges as part of the cost of the exam – HOWEVER, you must request the scores be sent at the time of registration (or within 9 days of the test for the SAT). If not, they cost $12 (ACT) or $11.25 (SAT) per school to send.

SAT or ACT??? ACT questions tend to be more straightforward. The SAT has a stronger emphasis on vocabulary. The ACT has a Science section, while the SAT does not. Calculator can be used on all portions of the ACT, by only on certain portions of the SAT. The ACT and SAT Writing Tests are optional on test day, but required by many universities. The SAT is broken up into more sections. The ACT is more of a "big picture" exam. Questions are more similar to how topics are taught in school. ACT - 4 sections (English, Math, Reading, Science) plus an Optional Essay (or Writing Test) SAT - 4 sections (Evidence-Based Reading, Writing, Math without a calculator, Math with a calculator) plus an Optional Essay

NYOS High School Code NYOS High School Code: 440347 You will need this number to register for both the SAT and the ACT. This number is on the home page of my website.
