Why PROJECTS To provide adequate transit from Rote memorization Teacher centered Low productive and low authentic system to student- centered high-order thinking, critical thinking, creativity and lifelong learners give new wind in your sails and thinking to integrate into ANY course

Importance of PBL (Project Based Learning) Project work works well with CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). Projects are more memorable and unforgettable Projects link to the lives of learners; they are meaningful, not just prescriptive or pedagogic.

and other presentation formats Poster Basics Posters are widely used in the academic community, and most conferences include poster presentations in their program Research posters summarize information or research concisely and attractively to help publicize it and generate discussion  The poster is usually a mixture of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats

What makes a good poster? Important information should be readable Title is short and draws interest Word count of about 300 to 800 words Text is clear and to the point Use of bullets, numbering, and headlines make it easy to read Effective use of graphics, color and fonts Consistent and clean layout Includes acknowledgments, your name and institutional affiliation

Your Poster should answer… Start putting together your 2 main elements Simple, effective data displays Your Poster should answer… What am I adding? Methods? What did I find? Why? What do I recommend Put the most important part first! Short and to the point!

Criteria, Rubrics or Checklist The poster’s size should be standard. Originality is very important No any excuses will be accepted for deadline Don’t forget the projects effect is %20 Your presentation is essential who will read, use direct internet sources their project directly will be cancelled Internet copy paste project won’t be accepted and the group’s general mark will be decreased by 10 percent

to prove your option at least 3 scientific significant articles should be printed out, elaborated and presented to Projects’ lecturer (supervisor) Articles should be analyzed in details to be able to provide strong evidence to support your ideas by all members of the group Group members’ brainstorming and discussion results are essential Project’s diary is obligatory which describe the process of project formation

Project Presentation The project will be presented to audience invited by students themselves Audience – each member of group will invite 10 people who knows or at least understand English (University or school students, experts,) Administration, Head of Departments, other Lecturers and wider audience of University will be invited by students

Project Generation Requirements in Project Based Learning (PBL) Before starting projects students have to form their groups and name their group Groups should consist not more than 3 and less than 2 students Project’s diary – it is a notebook where students reflect their daily feedbacks (general problems, frequently encountered challenges, common obstacles, in-group problems) while generating projects
