Warm Up Friday, January 8th Spend FIVE minutes finishing up your thesis writing assignment from last class.

Learning Targets: To distinguish between different types of research essays. To work with a partner in order to rate a model student essay.

Agenda Warm up Example Paper Evaluation activity Leftover time? Brainstorm for your homework assignment (due MONDAY!).

Groups Get everyone a packet. Groups of four will read each essay, highlight strengths and weaknesses in each (using the rubric), and will rank them according to their grades.
