How you can transfer an image to your linoleum matrix ENGRAVING WITH ACRYLIC COLOURS: LINOCUT
STEP 1 Choose an appropiate image of the pictures that you have worked on in the past (Impressionism) and one taken from any landscape or monument of Gijon.
STEP 2 You need : White silk paper (tracing paper Carbon paper A rectangle of linoleum (more or less 20 x 25 centimetres) A soft pencil Trace the drawing from the image to the white silk paper. If you have someone avaliable, you can use a lightbox.
STEP 3 Once the image is transferred, you have to pass it to the linoleum surface. For this, you have to put the carbon paper sheet between the linocut and the tracing paper, making sure you put the carbon paper in the right way round, that is the black side against the base. And now, draw the image again in order to obtain the main lines transferred on the linoleum (in other words, a carbon copy)
