Using the readings and this information, fill out your map with key details about slavery through time. Pay particular attention to approximate dates when slavery existed in those areas. *create a box for Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery Modern slavery does still exist. Read through the handout underlining and annotating key details such as: What types of circumstances lead to slavery in the modern world? What types of slavery exist in the modern world? What types of jobs do modern slaves perform? What has the international community attempted to do about modern slavery? Add key details to your map.

Using the affinity diagram that you are given, answer this essay question: Trace the changes and continuities in the institution of slavery from 600BCE to the present day. Steps: Develop three groups to put your information in. In the first box in each column, put a detail from the beginning. In the second box, something from the middle. In the third box, something from the end. In the fourth box, analyze why this change or continuity happened. (regular analysis = why a change or continuity happened; world context = zoom out to show trends impacting this issue)
