What is matter? Matter is anything that has mass and volume. Mass- amount of matter contained in an atom Volume- Amount of space an object occupies The universe is full of matter. What are some examples?

What is NOT matter? Things that do not have a mass or volume. What are some examples?

What is NOT matter? Things that do not have a mass or volume. What are some examples? Light and Heat

States of Matter

What about Plasma? Plasma is a state of matter that occurs at very high temperatures, when the electrons are free and not attached to the nucleus of the atom. Occurs rarely in nature, but often found man-made. Examples: Fluorescent light bulbs and Neon signs

A-MAZING MATTER Worksheet Work with a partner or on your own to complete the worksheet. Color Key: Gases = Green Liquids = Red Solids = Yellow Draw a line connecting the yellow pathway to see if the mouse can get to the cheese.
