About He was a hero for the poor people at his times He and his friends were stealing money from the rich and giving it to the poor

Interesting facts He inspired many famous Czech artists like Petr Bezruč or Albín Polášek The poors made songs and dances like Lachian „Ondrášův skok“ (The jump of Ondráš) According to some legends he couldn‘t be killed with anything else than his own „Valaška“ (folksy ax)

His death Some of his friends with Juráš as a leader decided to kill him, because they wanted calmer life According to the legend he was killed by magical baton, but in real life he was killed by Juráš and than his body was taken to castle in Frýdek, where his body was devided into quarters and hanged on trees near the castle as warning
