Under 15s Had to prepare for a big away game against the Santos (they were a very good team) Under 15 Fugees were still a work in progress They didn't work great together yet because they were still new to each other They had lost their last game with a score of 4-1 Team didn't have a "groove"

Mandela Mandela's mood was darkening weeks after the shooting He missed playing with his old Liberian teammates Got very frustrated at his teammates when they wouldn't cooperate when he was in one of his "moods" Didn't respect his teammates very well

The Game Fugees had a tough first half, weren't working well together Fugees were becoming frustrated with one another Many goals were getting past them and they weren't working together Mandela wouldn't pass to any of his teammates, even if they were wide open. He would run down to the goal and fail to make the shot each and every time Mandela cussed in front on Luma and was benched for the rest of the game Fugees played a better second half, got a goal in, but still lost Santos were more in shape and more experienced Game ended with a score of 6-1

Luma and Mandela Luma, Natnael and Mandela all drove home from the game in the same car Luma talked about Mandela to Natnael while he was in the car "When his free lunches at school were cut off because his mother hadn't properly filled out the paperwork, Luma took care of it. When his family was hungry, Luma said, she had taken them food. When they needed help moving, Luma helped them move." (St. John 218) Luma was enraged with Mandela. She told him he didn't have the respect to play. She kicked him out of the car saying : "Get out, don't call me Coach, and don't ever call me again." (St. John 219) Luma didn't kick Mandela off the team, and she wasn't proud of the things she had said to Mandela
