Good Morning Who What When Why Where 1 2 3 4 5 Get your journal and write the following at the top of the page On the left side of the page number 1-5 skipping a line between each number Who What When Why Where 1 2 3 4 5

We are going to look at a picture for a moment Directions We are going to look at a picture for a moment We are going to then create questions about the picture that we want to find the answers to ( I do not want to, or I do not find anything interesting is not an option).

Directions We are going to read our questions. Please listen to your peers. If you wrote down the same or a similar question that a peer has put a * or + sign by that question. Example: Mrs. Rowe’s question is; Where did this battle take place? If Mr. Mack wrote the same question, he will put a * or + sign by that question.

Continue After everyone reads their questions, number your top three questions. Then we are going to go pair up with a peer who wants to investigate the same question.

Posting Questions https://padlet.com/wdegeorg/6d91j325ftk6 We are going to post our question on the above website. The code word is Picture. After we find the answers, we will post those also.

Post Question on Padlet Go to my teacher's page 1. Sign into your computer 2. Go to the tab that reads Staff and click on the link 3. Scroll down to teacher’s page and click on it 4. Either type my name or scroll down to Wendy DeGeorge and click on it 5. Click on Social Studies and find the link for Padlet 6. Click on Padlet and click on the plus (+) sign 7.Post your question This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY

How to use cited evidence First find the answers to your question using the resources that have been provided 1. Write your answer and then use the text evidence from the book or website. If you are using a book: use quotation marks around the information from the book and in parenthesis type the page number. Example: “Washington then retreated to an open meadow” (page 141). If you are using a website: “ Washington longed to retire to his field at Mount Vernon” (www.whitehouse.gov, 11/25/2018).
