Basic search box – start your search here by putting in a keyword Home Page Basic search box – start your search here by putting in a keyword Facilitator’s Notes: Once logged in you will be able to search for and read any of the titles available to you. There are several criteria by which you can search. By title – if you know the title of the book you’d like to look at By Author – if you know the author of the book you’d like. Bare in mind that some surnames (family names) are common so you might need the initial too. By keyword – if there isn’t a specific title you’d like to search for but a particular term ie accounting, education (these are quite broad terms so will bring back a higher number of results) By subject - if there isn’t a specific title you’d like to search for but a particular subject area ie accounting, education Let’s start with the broadest search method – By subject Baobab categorises titles into subject areas– the main subject areas are listed in the left column of the page. These titles may or may not be available to your library – depending on whther they have purchased the title or not. If there is a title here which you would like your library to purchase – Make a Purchase Suggesiton once logged in to your account. Another way of searching for a subject (but only those titles available to you) you can type the search criteria into the search bar (once logged in). Ensure that ‘Your Library’ is selected from the drop down box and press ‘Go’ As en example we will search for ‘Education’ How many results does it show? What’s the first result?
