Science tools Week two of kindergarten was filled with fun & learning! This week we began our study of the alphabet! We also introduced our first sight word: the color word red. In math we were really busy learning and reviewing the numbers 0, 1 and 2, and also our first shape, the circle! Last week we had our first science class where the children had a chance to explore the tools of a scientist. They tried using forceps, magnifying glasses and pipettes with Mrs. Z, our science teacher! Next week we will return and begin learning all about our senses. This week we also began the Mini-Me presentations. It is so much fun to learn about our new friends. We are also working hard to learn the names of our new friends. Talk at home about any names your child can remember  We are hoping for sunny and dry weather next week so we can get outside for recess again! **I have sent a few group emails so far.
