Day 11 – Understanding Functions with Graphs

Focus and Review What is a function? Give an example of a function? Give an example of something that is not a function?

Vocabulary: Constant functions Constants Coordinate Plane Coordinate Graph Negative Numbers Some of these vocabulary words are review/basic. I find value in forcing them to use mathematical language to add to their understanding of the seemingly “easy” words. This has long term value in creating their mathematics vocabulary. This can be done in the notebooks or on vocabulary cards. Whatever system you use 
