Annotating English I

What is annotating? An- NOT(E)-tating Annotating is simply marking the text (note taking).

Why Do We Annotate? So you have something to contribute when we discuss the reading selection as a class You will find other students who can build on what you said and then you can come to a greater conclusion You will become a better writer You will be able to read CLOSER Great readers look beyond what’s on the surface and aim to understand deeper (critical reading). Great readers understand “how” and “why”.
