2016-17 DISCRETIONARY GRANT ALLOCATIONS The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (Services SETA) hereby invites suitable employers, stakeholders and interested parties to apply for discretionary grant funding. These grants are intended to meet the sector needs set out in the Services SETA Sector Skills Plan (SSP), Strategic Plan and the priorities set out in the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III).   The allocation of funds is intended for programmes and projects that improve the supply of qualified and competent people for scarce and critical skills occupations. Furthermore, it is also intended for programmes that include practical and theoretical components that are meaningful for the development of the individual and achieve substantial progress towards a qualification. Finally, the allocation of funds is intended to provide external mentoring support and training for business owners and learners in progressing skills needs. The application window is open from the 17 August 2016 08:00am to 18 September 2016 12:00 pm (midnight). The Services SETA will be conducting roadshows nationwide. These will provide guidance to potential applicants on the use of the Services SETA Application Portal and highlight the expected requirements for recruitment and enrolment should the application be successful. Additional information on the grant advertisement is obtainable on our website. For more information about the roadshow dates, times and venues refer to the below attached schedule and/or contact your Services SETA Provincial Office.
