Test – Thursday, Chapters 1-4 of novel Science: Matter - I can identify chemical and physical changes. I can identify the law of conservation of mass. Grades will come from in class labs and activities. Social Studies: Characteristics of Civilizations - I can describe the origins, characteristics, and expansion of indigenous cultures and groups that existed in the Americas prior to European exploration. I can analyze maps and artifacts to determine religious, social, cultural, and political characteristics of the Aztec, Maya, Inca, and Native North American civilizations. I can produce writing to explain why the Aztec, Maya, and Inca are civilizations. Grades will come from in class activities.
