Learn about the work of Peter Blake and how to produce work in his style What I’m looking for… A painting of sweet packaging in the style of Peter Blake An ability to use a viewfinder to select an appropriate image to draw Knowledge and understanding of Peter Blake’s work.

10 minutes PETER BLAKE Peter Blake is a Pop artist who uses collage to create images. He uses images of popular culture as well as letters as his subject matter. Watch a teacher demonstration of how to produce a painting of some sweet packaging in the style of Peter Blake

& 5 minutes Watch a teacher demonstration to learn how to produce an accurate line drawing using a viewfinder

Examples:

Draw a box 15 x 15 cm on the next clean right hand page. Collect an image from the side which corresponds to your differentiation level. 30 minutes Draw a box 15 x 15 cm on the next clean right hand page. Place your viewfinder onto your image. Sketch an outline of what you can see in your viewfinder. Once you are happy with your drawing, paint the packing neatly using the poster paints. Try to paint as much detail as you can.
