Learning Agenda for 4.3.2013 CRCT Madness Ms. Hines and Ms. Dalton 7th Grade English/Language Arts Advanced Content and On-Level Griffin Middle School

Opening Enter quietly and sit with your partner. CRCT Countdown: 7 school days Place the following items on your desk: Remain quiet. Review EQ and Common Core standards Pen or pencil CRCT (RED) folder Place everything else underneath your desk.

CRCT Preparation Essential Questions: How can reviewing, discussing, and analyzing the elements of the standards better prepare me for the ELA and Reading parts of the CRCT? What are my weaknesses (content domains) in ELA and Reading?

Using the Common Core standards, I must be able to: Complete all assigned lessons/activities based on my scores on the following: CCSD Quarter 3 benchmark Skills Tutor pretests Pre-CRCT (Georgia OAS) Note: Content Weights are listed above your period’s inbox. Know the areas you need to focus on before 4/22/2013.

Work Period Pass out laptops and headphones. CRCT Prep Fill out “My Plan to Conquer the CRCT: Reading and ELA” (pink sheet) Add all of your Skills Tutor and Brain Pop quiz scores . Brain Pop log in information is located on our class blog (www.cobblearning.net/mshines) Send Brain Pop quiz scores to wearegreatelateachers@gmail.com Student-Teacher Conferences Bring your RED folder when called. ***Remain quiet, seated, and focused.*** Work Period Reminders: “My Plan to Conquer the CRCT: Reading and ELA” is due by 4/18/2013. You MUST conference at least once this week with Ms. Hines. No exceptions! Scores from your “My Plan to Conquer the CRCT: Reading and ELA” will be added to Pinnacle. Do your best. CRCT begins 4/22/2013.

Log off of your computers and place your headphones inside of the zip lock bag. Please do not shut down the computers. Line up to return all computers and headphones. Return to your seats quietly. Clean up your area, and copy down your homework When directed, stand up quietly next to your desk and wait to be dismissed by Ms. Dalton. Closing Homework: Take your RED folder home and show your parents. Work on Skills Tutor and Brain Pop Check our class blog for more details Read, read, read. (30 minutes each night)
