Why do we Need blood? Transportation – nutrients wastes, hormones etc Homeostasis- Helps maintain body temperature, pH, blood pressure etc. Helps fight infection and heal injuries

Lymphatic System Absorbs excess tissue fluid and returns this fluid (LYMPH) back into the bloodstream. Special lymph vessels called LACTEALS are associated with the small intestinal villi. These vessels absorb the products of fat digestion. Lymph organs play a significant role in helping the immune system fight infection. Develop and carry/house some types of lymphocytes
