Other volunteering includes being a member of the Flower Guild at my church, a member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America as well as other community organizations. Educational background: I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Russian and a Master of Arts in Public Administration. LASSO Board Secretary MaryClaire Powell Past LASSO volunteer roles: Indoor Drum Line concession crew leader, Verizon Amphitheater money manager, and Chuck Wagon Child in the band? Lizzy Powell – 9th grade, baritone and synthesizer Why are you interested in serving on the LASSO board? As an educator, I understand the key to a successful school organization lies in the volunteers who lead the efforts. We rely on volunteers to help our efforts in providing the best environment for our students. I seek and witness the tremendous efforts that volunteers endure to help the elementary school run smoothly. I want to give back to the Forsyth County School System and LASSO provides me the opportunity. Brief professional / educational background: BS in Human Development, M.Ed. and Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am an instructional coach at Brookwood Elementary, having previously taught at Mashburn Elementary. I was a stay-at-home mom for 13 yrs before returning to the classroom. The board secretary is responsible for recording all board and parent meeting minutes and coordinating volunteer time tracking systems.

Vice President of Band Operations Christoph VanCompernolle List past LASSO volunteer roles: 2016 – 2017: Wrangler,2017 – 2018: Head wrangler,2018 – 2019: Head wrangler Child in the band? Maxim Vancompernolle, 11th grade, Trumpet (section leader) Why are you interested in serving on the LASSO board? Over the past 3 years I’ve had tremendous fun and satisfaction of helping with the band, bonding with the other parents, and watching our Marching Band perform up- close-and-personal. It is a great group (kids and parents) to be part of and I’d consider it an honor to serve in a leadership role. In previous years I had a very hands-on role and while I look forward to work one more year with the great group of wranglers, a board position would allow me to coordinate, plan and help prepare the activities of a variety of subcommittees. With my mix of hands-on experience and management skills I think I can be effective in this role. Professional background: Director of Product and Partner Relations with itineris. Educational background: Master of Science, Electronics Engineering, University of Ghent - Belgium Subcommittees will include: Wranglers, Chaperones, Field Lining, Uniforms, Health and Safety, Band Website and Social Media.

Child in the band? Walt Wilson, 9th grade, Trombone and Baritone Why are you interested in serving on the LASSO board? I have served on various school volunteer boards over the past several years and I enjoy contributing to the success of these school groups. With my son’s commitment to band, I feel like this is the best opportunity for me to contribute and be involved at Lambert. Brief professional / educational background: I have been a stay-at-home Mom for nearly 15 years, serving as a volunteer for various school groups. I served on the Board at Brookwood Elementary School for 6 years as a VP and Secretary. Prior to that I had 15 years of professional experience as an executive assistant in the medical and financial industry. Subcommittees will include: Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, Lambert Winter Classic, Football Concession Stands, Sponsorships, Spiritwear, and Spirit Nights.
