PowerPoint Instructions: Before beginning the course I would like to give you just a few tips on how to best use the PowerPoint lectures. The lectures are based on the same notes I use in teaching the class at Rogers State University.

PowerPoint Instructions: As you go through the presentations you should take notes (writing the key points has a way of concentrating the mind). Do not try to print these slides off, you will waste paper and gain little.

PowerPoint Instructions: Most of the material in these lectures does not appear in the texts. Much of it will appear on your examinations.

PowerPoint Instructions: The other PowerPoint Presentations for this course are password protected. The the sign-on and password for these presentations will be given out in the first few class meetings.

PowerPoint Instructions: If you are using a slow modem, you can press the “A” button below. This will give you a “text” screen. “Text” will give you much faster download times, though the screens are not as “pretty.”

PowerPoint Instructions: If you are in “text” and nothing appears on the slide, it means that there is a graphic or a picture on the slide--return to “graphics mode” to view the slide.

PowerPoint Instructions: The slide show also has buttons to return you to my “Home Page,” “Fast Forward,” and “Rewind.” Remember, all of the material at this site is intended to aid you in mastering the material. I want you to do well.

PowerPoint Instructions: Stay focussed. Come to class regularly. Discipline and pace are key. Good luck.
