Lab Safety

Most important rule: Behave responsibly

Behaviour during lab work be prepared follow indicated procedure remain standing throughout duration of lab no horseplay do not leave equipment unattended (especially Bunsen burners and heaters) no food or drinks in class (including water bottles) do not taste, touch, smell unless told to do so

(spills, breakage, injuries, etc.) In case of emergency (spills, breakage, injuries, etc.) Inform teacher immediately Call 2700 on phone if teacher is unable If it's a life or death situation, call 2911.

Eye Protection Wear goggles when using chemicals If needed, use eye-wash only after notifying teacher avoid wearing contact lenses when using chemicals
