Author Presentation and Book Signing Friday, August 12, 2016 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kauffman Foundation Conference Center 4801 Rockhill Road, KCMO 64108 In celebration of National Community Health Center Week (August 7-14), Swope Health Services is pleased to host a community luncheon and book signing with Dr. Karmen Smith on Friday, Aug. 12. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and will conclude by 1:00 p.m. with the book signing immediately following. Dr. Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an ordained minister with more than twenty years in the mental health and child welfare field. She is following in the footsteps of her mother, Kanzetta Harris , a long-time social worker at Swope Health Services and the namesake of one of our residential homes. Dr. Smith will be speaking on topics covered in her latest book, The “I AM Solution.” In it, she invites readers to explore the role forgiveness plays in living your best life. From more loving relationships to abundant finances, the power of forgiveness can be the key to unlocking the life you’ve imagined. To quote Dr. Smith, “When we change the inner paradigm from victim to victor, our outer reality changes.”   Join us for this thought-provoking conversation. Every attendee will receive a copy of the book. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit our EventBrite site.  “You no longer need to hold onto hate. I have created an easy to understand program for you to release the pain and forgive.” ~Dr. Karmen Smith
