Act 1 Scene 5 Summary (Party Scene) Parrrrrtttaaaaayyy! Party scene- masquerade, everyone wears masks so Romeo and his gang can slip in. But obviously, Romeo is still sobbing over Rosaline. Lots of things going on at once here- lovers meet and enemies almost fight: Tybalt spots Romeo hanging with Juliet, wants to fight him, Capulet tells him no, it’s a party man, also, Prince said he’d kill ME, so don’t cause me no trouble ‘cuz. Meanwhile, Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time. He takes her hand and goes to kiss it, but she get’s all shy and stuff. Romeo doesn’t know how to take a hint (don’t kiss me bro!) and through some 15th century flirting (you do your hand wrong too much!) makes her hold still while he kisses her. And then once more for good measure.

Act 1 Scene 5 Summary At the end of the scene, Romeo and Juliet each learn that the other is their greatest enemy. Juliet finds out from the nurse, as does Romeo. Dear Romeo… well duh, you at a Capulet house, Romeo, what did you expect to find? A Montague??? #thatsaneck Also man, you was crying like a baby over Rosaline like, 5 min ago. “Did you heart love till now” crap. You don’t even know what love is (I want to know what love is… I want you to show me…) #crymeariver PS Rosaline was a Capulet too, you dummy.
