You Will Need… “I Have a Dream” starting on page 251 of your purple guide book The “I Have a Dream” guided reading handout starting on page 222 of your purple guide book SOAPSTONE handout on page 226 of the purple guide book Writing utensil

Jigsaw Protocol YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES! Today’s questions focus on TONE and AUTHOR’S PURPOSE! We will begin this protocol with INDEPENDENT WORK. HEARTS—Answer the questions on page 222 CIRCLES—Answer the questions on page 223 STARS—Answer the questions on page 224 SQUARES-- Answer the questions on page 225 YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES!

Jigsaw Protocol Each group should have someone who answered every set of questions. Within your group, start with the person who answered page 222, then 223, and so on, until your group has discussed every set of questions. Once your group finishes, turn in your questions from the past 3 days (stapled together) and turn them in using the baskets at the front of the room. Then you can work on your thematic analysis handout which will be checked for completion TOMORROW!
