Subject What We’re Learning Mrs. Schimke’s Class Newsletter October 22-28 Subject What We’re Learning Reading We will read a biography about Roberto Clemente. Our story skills will be: cause/effect, literal/nonliteral meanings, prefix mis-, and visualizing. Our summative assessment will be next week. BOOK REPORTS ARE DUE ON NOVEMBER 2nd. Language Arts We will learn about singular and plural possessive nouns. Math We will review on Monday and take our Chapter 3 summative on Tuesday. On Wednesday we will begin our next multiplication chapter. We will multiply by 2/4 and 5/10. Please have a set of multiplication flash cards at home…we will begin multiplication fat tests soon. Science & Social Studies Science – we will begin our next StemScope called Life Cycles. Social Studies – we will learn about life in the colonies. Teacher Notes *Remember to initial the student planner each night so that I know you’ve seen the nightly homework. *All test, quiz, and assignment dates are subject to change. *Library books due on Friday. *Wear our Team Shirts on all Treat Days, Hot Lunch Days, Field Trips, and PBIS assemblies.
