Noun Clauses

What are the parts of a complete sentence?

Clause Sentence A clause is a group of words containing a subject and a verb An independent clause (or main clause) is a complete sentence. It contains the main subject and verb of a sentence.

*Question words: who, what, where, when, how, how many, why, which, whom.

How to form a noun clause

Identify the complete sentences. 1. Jin studies business. 2. ___What does Jin study? 3. ___What Jin studies? 4. ___What Jin studies is business. 5. ___ His books. 6. ___ I don’t know how much his books cost. 7. ___ How much his books cost? 8. ___ How much do his books cost?
