Introduction Khan Academy is an online free to use educational organisation founded by Salman Khan in 2007, which enables students to study many subjects including Maths, History, Grammar, Programming and much more.

How does it work? This is how Khan Academy works. It provides hundreds of educational videos on subjects ranging from History and Maths to Grammar and Programming. There are also practice exercises, which test the understanding of the videos and help prepare for the final “unit test” at the end of every unit. Under each video, there is also a “questions” section, where you can ask questions and answer other people’s question.

Our Class Using Khan Academy Our class is assigned Khan Academy homework every Thursday night. We are assigned Maths and History homework, which includes exercises, videos and articles. We usually get exercises based on what we are studying in school.

Benefits of using Khan Academy Using Khan Academy has many benefits such as: The teacher can give assignments of varying difficulty, according to the skill of the student. Under each video there is a “questions” section where - if you still have questions after watching - you may ask them and you can also help the community by answering other people’s questions. The teacher monitors your progress so next time, she/he can give you an appropriate assignment according to your progress. You can study at your own pace. Say that you are struggling with a lesson, you can watch the video again and redo the practise exercise. You can study whatever you want on Khan Academy, even if it is not part of your assignments. A HUGE benefit of Khan Academy is that it’s COMPLETELY free with no extra cost!

How Khan Academy Has Helped us Personally Khan Academy is a very interesting website and it is very helpful to us because it greatly improved our knowledge in history and maths. We would recommend Khan Academy to anyone who is seeking to improve their child's knowledge of History, Maths or any, other subject. As we have previously listed, using Khan Academy has many benefits and since it is completely free, you have nothing to lose.

Thank You! Any questions?
