Study this in Canvas so we can play quizzes. Ancient Greece was covered my mountains. Ancient Greece was located on a peninsula. It is for this reason they are good sailors and good fishermen. Ancient Greece was not one country but a group of city states. People of Ancient Greece were polytheistic and had slaves. Most city states were monarchies. A city state is a city that is also a country. The two most famous city states are: Athens and Sparta. Athens was a democracy and Sparta was militaristic. The city states began to run out of resources. That is why they began to colonize. The impact of colonization on the development of Ancient Greece was better economic opportunities, improved means of transportation, and speed of communication. Ideas and culture spread because of Ancient Greek colonization.
