Accelerator R&D: Strategy Charge Is the strategic direction of the accelerator R&D at SLAC consistent with the most promising areas of science? Is the role of the Accelerator R&D at SLAC well defined? Does the Accelerator R&D program support and serve the main missions of the laboratory? Is the infrastructure at SLAC well utilized to serve the R&D program? Is the plan to develop and grow Accelerator R&D and its supporting infrastructure sustainable? Are the core SLAC Accelerator R&D directions consistant with the mission priorities of the funding agencies? To what level could/should a Work for Others program grow? What agencies should SLAC approach for funding? Is the financial risk to the laboratory that the Accelerator R&D program represents acceptable? Accelerator R&D: Strategy
