Rail freight noise – conclusions Noise is now established on the global transport agenda UIC and our members continue to develop noise solutions There is an important European dimension to the rail fright noise solution External funding is important and should cover full life cycle costs Operational restrictions can have disproportionate impacts, speed restrictions must be avoided Some flexibility can help European level solutions
