We are faced with problems from all directions His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, (2 Peter 1:3 ESV)

The bible claims to have life’s answers Money Family Friends Work Character Government Taxes Children Love Enemies Joy Etc.,etc.

When David's time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, (1 Kings 2:1-3 ESV)

Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, (2 Peter 1:12-13 ESV) …since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. (2 Peter 1:14 ESV) And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.(2 Peter 1:15 ESV)

(2 Peter 1:14 ESV) And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things. (2 Peter 1:15 ESV)

Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, … These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. … For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. (2 Peter 2:15-21 ESV)

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (2 Timothy 4:1-4 ESV)

Four Attitudes to help us live by God’s word Be more interested in what God says than in what I say Be more interested in what God wants than in what I want Be more interested in God’s glory than in my glory Be more interested in God’s character becoming mine

When our main desire is to be conformed to the image of God’s Son, we will value the word that He has spoken above all else.
