Leadership Through Mentoring Mentors are teachers and leaders. Mentors share experience and knowledge. Mentors are sometimes in an inferior position.

Mentoring Chains in Scripture Most mentors worked alone; some worked in pairs. Some mentors coached only one person at a time. Others mentored several at once. The group was always small enough so that each disciple or trainee received personal attention. Jesus mentored twelve, sometimes three and, on some occasions, one. Biblical mentoring results in 'chains' with several generations of mentors, whose apprentices mentor others, and so on.
