2012 09 11 一 Bell Ringer Turn in your extra credit homework from last night (if you have it). This assignment will not be accepted late. Get out a sheet of paper. Head the paper with your first name, last name, today’s date, and the period you have civics. Prepare the paper for Cornell notes. If you don’t know how to prepare your paper for Cornell notes, you’d better ask someone.

二 The House Please read the little slip of paper I give you. DO NOT TELL ANYONE WHAT IT SAYS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TELL ANYONE WHAT IT SAYS. If your paper says take notes, please take notes on the back of your Cornell notes paper.

三 Fight for Independence Video Take notes on the following video. Focus your notes on British actions that made the colonists mad (like the Stamp Act).

Part 1

三 Fight for Independence Video The video will now give you a quiz. This is a non-graded test, but please try to get all the right answers. Write your answers BACK of the paper. There are 15 questions in all.

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Part 6

三 Fight for Independence Video Use the next five minutes to create questions for your cues column. Remember, you are making questions that you have ALREADY written the answers for in your notes section. For example: CUES NOTES people in colonies considered British citizens Did people in the colonies consider themselves Americans?

三 Fight for Independence Video Last, we are going to complete a summary for what we have watched. Put your pencils down. Take sixty silent seconds to think about the video and everything you have written so far. Compose a summary IN YOUR HEAD only. Take three minutes to write one or two summary sentences. When you are done, put this paper away in your notes.
