Subject What We’re Learning Mrs. Schimke’s Class Newsletter January 14-18, 2019 Subject What We’re Learning Reading We will spend our 2nd week with the biography called Young Thomas Edison. Our story skills are: main idea/details, sequencing, summarizing, and shades of meaning. Our story summative will be on Wednesday. Language Arts We will begin our next chapter by reviewing what adjectives are. Math We will divide using arrays, relate multiplication and division, make fact families, and divide by 1 and 0. Our chapter 6 summative will be next week. Science & Social Studies Science – we will take our unit summative on Thursday. Social Studies – we will learn about the causes of the revolutionary war. Teacher Notes Remember to initial the student planner each night. All test, quiz, and assignment dates are subject to change. Collect those Box Tops and Pop Tops!
