VER True, Truth
Veracity (n) Habitual truthfulness Voters should be concerned about his veracity and character.
Veraciously (adverb) habitually speaking the truth; truthful, honest Young children often speak veraciously and don’t yet realize their truthful observations can be hurtful.
Verdict (n) a decision on a disputed issue in a court case or opinion or judgment The jury returned a “not guilty” verdict when the prosecution could not find the murder weapon.
Verify (v) make sure or demonstrate that something is true, accurate, or justified. Scientists verify their suspicions with experiments.
Veritable (adj) used as an intensifier, often to qualify a metaphor. There was a veritable gas price explosion after Hurricane Katrina.
