2010 – 1011 Scott High School Writing Continuum What is it? Why do we have a writing continuum? And what do teachers have to do?

What is our writing continuum?

What do I (as a teacher) have to do? English Assign an appropriate/fitting assignment. (What does this mean?) Write comments during/after the writing process. Your students must produce a 1st/rough draft. Assign revisions. Your students must produce a 2nd/final draft. Grade and share. The assignment must count for points in your class. The assignment must be scored using the appropriate rubric. On-Demand Pieces: skip 1st draft comments – just comments on final.
