Delivering education dreams

What is Aspire? Aspire is the CILT’s training and development careers foundation Our vision is to provide financial assistance to those who may not otherwise have access to logistics, transport or supply chain learning: to help them to realise their potential We do this through funded training and development awards, from entry level through to industry professional Funded training and development to unlock potential

CILT is a charity: we must have charitable actions CILT is a network: for individuals and companies CILT is an educator: to enhance individuals’ skills How can we put them all together?

Educator Networking Charity

Fundraising – expansion Internationally We have donated some £15,000 from our Endowment Funds to Aspire We will be looking next year to transfer a proportion of our Education surplus back to Aspire We intend to persuade you to start similar local charities Objective: To encourage regular giving from Companies and members and exploit opportunities for one off gifts and fundraising

Looking ahead to 2015 The challenge: to continue to raise our aspirations and specifically: To raise our rate of fundraising across the World to enable us to support and develop more people To provide another reason to involve local Companies in the CILT To utilize all of the training places kindly donated by CILT & IOM Goal to support over 250 individuals Worldwide in 2015

Important Actions from You Today You must ask every training provider to submit their price schedule We have too many applicants quoting different prices No price lists: no awards Applicants must fill their own forms in, not the training provider or the branch If they cannot fill in a form they will not complete the qualification If the above guidance is not observed then it is likely that the application will have to be rejected

How you can help Start Aspire in your country Encourage donations from organisations and individuals Talk to us about fundraising opportunities Throw a lifeline and kick-start someone’s career in transport, logistics and operations management

A few words of thanks… “18 years ago I lost a dream and had to stop my education. You have given me back my dream” “I am overjoyed and excited, the news has put me on cloud nine, I am thrilled. I have needed to get this scholarship to help me achieve my career goals” “Thank you so very much, your support for my career development has already far surpassed anything I have received in the years I have had within this industry, thank you once again” “I am honored to be a recipient of the Aspire-CILT scholarship and I wish to express my sincere thanks to you and your organization for your generosity, and looking out for the transport and logistics student such as myself who are in financial need” “This feels amazing after such a long time of feeling hopeless the course was amazing and has given me the confidence boost I needed to start my career and give me something to feel proud of””
