Chapter 7 Review

I can use Pythagorean Theorem to solve for a missing side on a right triangle. Ex. Find the unknown side length of the right triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem.

I can use Pythagorean Theorem to determine if a triangle is acute, right, or obtuse. Ex. Determine if the triangle with the given lengths is right, obtuse or acute. 4,5,32

I can use proportions to find the missing side in similar right triangles, when the large one is cut to make a medium and a small. Ex. Find the value of y. Write your answer in simplest radical form.

I can use the 45-45-90 triangle and the 30-60-90 triangle to find the missing sides of a right triangle. Find the missing sides of the triangles 1) 2)

I can draw a picture and solve a story problem using sin, cos, and tan to find a missing side of a right triangle. Ex. A man flies a kite with a 100 foot string. The angle of elevation of the string is 52o. How high off the ground is the kite?

I can use sin-1, cos-1, and tan-1 to find the missing angles of a right triangle. Ex. Solve the right triangle. B A C
