Reimbursable Meal Pricing Creating and Updating Reimbursable Meal Pricing Your Pricing and Charging policies are extremely important and subject to frequent change. This lesson will show you how it’s done.

An Introduction to Reimbursable Meal Pricing Navigate to Admin>Definitions/Setup>Community>Reimbursable Meal Pricing, then Click. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed

An Introduction to Reimbursable Meal Pricing The current Pricing Names and Categories are displayed. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed Click Edit to review the details. Note that the Categories are based on the top-level Eligibilities, Free, Reduced, Full Pay and Adult. Teacher and Employee categories can also be created.

An Introduction to Reimbursable Meal Pricing This setup determines who will pay how much for a Reimbursable Meal and where! Grades are required for the Meal Pricing item. Note the naming convention, Full Pay PK-05. This helps keep thing organized. Prices are based on Category (Full Pay on this one). Name and Category display here. We’ll look at Balance Rules A little later. They are Important! Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed Very Important! Assign each site for which this Pricing structure applies. Wow! That’s a lot to take in but, after you get the hang of it, you’ll find it a fast and efficient way to maintain your pricing.

Creating a new Meal Pricing item To create a new Meal Pricing item, open Admin>Definitions/Setup>Community>Reimbursable Meal Pricing and click To update, click Edit. A new or editable Plan will open. Assign the Grades this applies to. Note the naming convention, Full Pay PK-05. This helps keep thing organized. Enter the price based on Category and Block Second Meals if required. Enter a descriptive name, like ‘Full Pay PK-05’. Choose the Category. And Balance Rule. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed Very Important! Assign each site for which this Pricing structure applies. Verify results by bringing up customers on a POS terminal, selecting a Reimbursable Meal and checking that the Price is Right!

An Introduction to Account Balance Rules Navigate to Definitions/Setup,>Community>Account Balance Rules, then Click. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed

An Introduction to Account Balance Rules Account Balance Rules are assigned to Meal Pricing items. The Name should represents what they do. Like Meal Pricing items, you can create New Rules or Edit existing ones. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed These Rules determine Charge Limits and Low Balance, by either Dollars or # of Meals for each of your Meal Pricing items. NO LIMITS means that there are no Charging or Low Balance restrictions. 2 Meal Low has no Charge limit but will warn of a Low Balance when the account contains less than the value of 2 Reimbursable Lunch Meals, for example $.80 for Reduced students.

Creating and Editing Account Balance Rules To create a new Account Balance Rule, click New Rule. Enter a Name that represents What it Does. Then Save. Select Dollars or Meals for Charge Limit and Low Balance. Wrap up the topic *User Groups have identical rights that are all ON by default *Rights can be edited for each User Group *New User Groups can be created as needed After Saving or to edit an existing Rule, click Edit (I’m giving it a new name. ) Enter your Dollar or Meal amounts, then Save. If you’ve created a new Rule, be sure to assign it to the appropriate Meal Pricing Item(s)!
