Presentation transcript:

Gillian Sheath The Cove Create and Share Gillian Sheath The Cove

Aims To provide an opportunity for young people to work together and share experiences within an informal group setting using verbal and non verbal activities. To give the OT a regular opportunity to meet the young people and provide a different setting from education or psychology groups

Paper Exercises Art exercises like this give the young people space to think about issues that are important to them. I can inform their key worker or named nurse about anything that I feel the young person needs more help with

Play Dough The YPs love working in play dough. This is a number of examples of what they like to do at the weekend. Sleep features highly. I’ve also used dough to look at what they would like to be, what they don’t want to be, fears, hopes, dreams, favourite food

Buttons The YP’s just love diving into the array of buttons that I have. We have used them to represent our first day, friendship, family members, them on a good day and a bad day. There is silence as they chose.
