Basic facts The world needs 70 % growth in food production towards 2025 in order to keep up with the population growth Sea food production needs to be tripled within 2025 Current Norwegian export comparable to 37 mill meals pr day Nordland county the biggest regional exporter BLUE FIELD GROWTH = FOOD TO THE WORLD Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for a world without hunger

New City New Airport project: Create a powerful logistical hub

Short term vision remains to establish transportation of sea food from Bodø airport Feeding with ferry from Sør-Arnøy and Steigen to Bodø Current transport solution by truck - Årlig ca. 1400 trucker fra Sør-Arnøy og ca. 4000 fra Steigen. I dag sendes en del med tog fra Fauske, Bodø og Narvik, og resterende går til Europa med truck. Fergen vi gå i trekant mellom Arnøy-Sund-Bodø. Alternativ med Steigen vil bli Steigen-Bodø, Bodø-Arnøy-Bodø, Bodø-Steigen-Bodø etc…

Bodø municipality committed to facilitate for more seafood industry in spatial planning Seafood industry in Norway currently uses only 0,74 ‰ of the baseline sea area or 0,54 % if anchorage zone is included (Gullestadutvalgets rapport ) The city of Bodø was founded on fishing and trade

Continued support of Nord university’s “Faculty for Aqua and Biological culture” as a driving force for research and innovation within the field The rain forest may be replaced by the ocean as «the new medicine cabinet» Usage of antibiotics within salmon farming is highly overrated….

In 2019 the Bodø municipality will start it’s process on how to adopt to UN’s 17 SDGs Ecological footprint show us the way in terms of where we can make a difference
