Important Dates Date of STAAR Exams ~ Writing – April 1st and 2nd Math – April 22 nd Reading – April 23 rd

Parent Conferences Sign up for a parent conference the week after Spring Break We will discuss students progress and their scores on the Benchmark Exams Math will be given February 25th Reading will be given February 26th Writing was given on January 21st and 22nd

What you can do at home….. Math Homework is sent home daily except for Friday. Continue studying Multiplication facts Help students with homework by using the following strategy.

STOP After reading a question STOP and THINK THINK THINK about what the question is asking you. Are there any answer choices that don t make sense? What is the author trying to tell you? RE-READ Once you have read the question and answer choices go back into the story or problem and read it again. Make sure you have pulled the right information from the passage that will help you answer the question.
