Fox Class News 18.1.19 What a busy time we have had this term already! In Reception we went on a Number Hunt and found numbers EVERYWHERE! This week we have been making Supertato characters from the story and writing Wanted Posters to help capture Evil Pea! Each morning the Evil Pea has been capturing the Sprouts and to release them we have been estimating how many have been trapped. Some fantastic estimating each day on post it notes, it has been very exciting to find out who is the winner each day! Next week our superhero topic continues and we will be exploring Superworm! We will be making our own Fox Class Wormery and we will all get to make our own Superworm – please send in any unwanted socks (odd is fine) Thank you. Mrs Temple-Nidd will be going to the Long Melford library next Friday (25th Jan). If you are free to help please let one of the team know. Many thanks. In Nursery we have been busy exploring the hospital role-play area, so many amazing doctors and nurses looking after lots of poorly patients! Also lots of children have been pretending to go travelling around the world, they have been making long lines of chairs (which was of course a train) and they have been visiting beaches and parks! So nice on such grey wintery days! Lots of our Nursery children are getting quite hungry throughout the day, we do offer fruit, but this is limited. Therefore if you would like to send in an additional healthy snack with your child, please feel free to do so. Making sure it is named. I feel the Reception children have settled back into the Spring Term really well, so from Monday 28th January the children in Reception will come into their class through the single door by themselves. This will ensure a calmer and quieter start to their day and will stop the amount of traffic coming into the Early Years which is getting quite busy! The Nursery children will still come through the same double doors. We publish lots of our learning on Tapestry which is the Online Learning Journey all children have in the EYFS. If you can no longer access it for some reason, please let a member of the team know and we can resend you a link. It is really important you see what amazing things your children are learning and achieving. Many thanks, Mrs Graham and the Early Years Team Diary dates: Friday 25th Jan Reception visiting Long Melford library pm
