ROAR Behavior of the Week Make every effort to be as organized as possible.

Word of the Day Monday erode (verb): remove soil or rock; become ground down or deteriorate Sample sentence: Farmers become distressed when the heavy rains cause the soil to erode.

Word of the Day Tuesday latter (noun): the second of two or the second mentioned of two Sample sentence: My favorite fruits are apples and watermelon, especially the latter on a hot summer day.

Word of the Day Wednesday analyze (verb): examine in detail, typically for purposes of explanation and interpretation Sample sentence: Hurricane trackers analyze weather patterns to identify conditions that trigger the storms.

Word of the Day Thursday compliment (noun): a thing that completes or brings to perfection a larger whole Sample sentence: Cranberry sauce always seems to complement a turkey and dressing meal.

Word of the Day Friday determine (verb): ascertain or establish exactly Sample sentence: The boxing match was so close that the judges had to determine the winner after the final round.
