Retromer Sets a Trap for Endosomal Cargo Sorting Ludger Johannes, Christian Wunder  Cell  Volume 167, Issue 6, Pages 1452-1454 (December 2016) DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2016.11.026 Copyright © 2016 Elsevier Inc. Terms and Conditions

Figure 1 Proposed Model for SNX3-Retromer Assembly on Membranes for Cargo Recognition Cargo recognition by retromer is achieved through cooperative interactions between the Vps26 and SNX3 subunits. Retromer thereby sets a trap for cargo molecules on the membranes of early maturing endosomes. The partial retromer-SNX3 model was generated by fitting the crystal structure of Vps26-Vps35N-SNX3 bound to the recycling signal of DMT1 (Lucas et al., 2016) and linked to the transmembrane protein ScaDMT homolog (PDB: 4WGV). The magnification shows the interface of Vps26 and SNX3 with DMT1. Cell 2016 167, 1452-1454DOI: (10.1016/j.cell.2016.11.026) Copyright © 2016 Elsevier Inc. Terms and Conditions
