Comparing and Contrasting Texts

In 5th Grade you Compared and Contrast: Text Structure Characters Setting Events Chronological Order Sequence Compare/Contrast Problem/Solution Descriptive

In 6th Grade We will review those components and added two more: Theme Approaches to a topic: Almost like the “author’s craft.” How does the author deliver the message to you?

Comparing/Contrast Article 1: “Belonging vs. Fitting” Article 2: Approach to Topic -She gives real-life examples and personal examples -funny -asks question -telling her thoughts Theme/Main Idea People not really “fitting in” but they belong Text Structure Descriptive and Compare/Contrast
