Waste Management Environmental Objective: Reduce trash through recycling and improve waste management system Aspect Description: Waste Management Project Manager: John Doe Target #1: Increase recycling of paper, metals, plastics and Styrofoam by 30%. Action Plan: 1. Brainstorm on methods of recycling and implementation steps required and submit written final plans for recycling program to EMS Coordinator. Conduct survey on what schools are presently recycling. 2. Consider involving Environmental Club from High School. 3. Contact BFI to get information on how they can assist Milestone: Complete Target #1 within 3 months (June 19, XXXX) Responsible Individual/Group: Tom LeFort, with assistance from team and school staff. Target #2: Improve dumpster conditions in all schools. Action Plan: 1. At new schools, install chain link fences around dumpsters, post "Illegal to Dump" signs. 2. Require BFI to make two dumpster pick ups per day as specified in their contract. Milestone: Complete Target #2 within 6 months (September 31, XXXX) Responsible Individual/Group: John Doe with assistance from team.
